We are still in La Coruña, loving this city, the warm weather and the chance to recuperate. We have walked around the shore to the Tower of Hercules, an incredible, very tall watch tower built by the Romans in the 2nd C, and is the oldest operating lighthouse in the world. We have also been to a huge modern shopping complex plus walked around the old lanes of small shops that branch out from the magnificent main plaza in the old town - it is a city of contrasts.
Yesterday Bob Tanner arrived from Australia and today Anne and Richard McKay arrive. So we need to give them some time to enjoy the area before we move on, probably on Sunday, if the weather is right.
