Chris and john left on Monday Sep 21 and the rest of the week we spent packing up and getting ready to leave by Sep 25. It rained a lot, not usual for this time of the year.
On the Tuesday night we went out for dinner with Randall (our marine electrician who we have become friends with) and his wife Anda to a restaurant at a little fishing harbor in an area of Portixl we have not visited before. We will need to come back many times to properly explore this island.
Wednesday night was a real treat as we went to the home of David (captain of the boat next to us) and Caty (and Albert and Noa, their beautiful young children) for dinner. They had prepared a great range of tapas and then we had fabulous fish that David had caught while spear fishing on Tuesday. We consider ourselves so fortunate to have met such a wonderful family from Mallorca and to have been invited to their home.
It was sad to leave the boat on Friday Sep 25 and to leave Mallorca, but we are also looking forward to going home. After 2 days in Barcelona and a week in NY we will be home on October 6.
