September in Mallorca with guests - A. Emily Shields and Milan Stephens
We returned from Marrakech to Palma on September 4 just in time to meet Emily Shields and Milan Stephens, who have been living and working in London for the past 18 months. They were only able to stay with us for a couple of nights but we managed to pack a few things in so that they could enjoy their stay. We had a great day out on the boat, being able to anchor for lunch and swim in Portals Vells, which is a beautiful cove off Palma Bay, but usually too crowded with boats in July and August. We also walked around the old town area of Palma but as it was really too hot to walk for long we hired a horse and carriage for a fabulous canter around many back streets of the area. We even saw some parts Greg and I have not been to before and it was the best way to be able to admire the fabulous old Spanish architecture of that area and pass by many places with those beautiful internal courtyards.
