La Costa da Morte

We left La Coruna yesterday and travelled south to Corme, a little fishing village in a bay (Rias de Corme and Laxe), where we anchored overnight and we are now on our way to Camarinas (in Rias Camarinas), which is described as one othe area's loveliest towns. The seas still rolly-polly but not as bad as yesterday. We had fog for most of the trip yesterday but it was very sunny when we arrived at lunch time, though a cool wind was blowing quite strongly. It is misty this morning but the sun is trying to break through. (Oops - we are now in thick fog and are in an area known as the Coasta du Morte because of all of the shipwrecks on the ricks over the years  when people have gone too close to the coast. It is a great help to Greg having Richard and Bob on board - Richard and Anne McKay and Bob Tanner arrived last Wednesday and Thursday. Peter and Elizabeth are still travelling in their boat with us and one of their daughters, Caroline is with them now.

We are now at the next Ria, at the town Camarinas, where they are about to begin the blessing of the fleet etc and I think we will need our ear plugs tonight because of the music etc, but it is good to be here for it. So the others are having a siesta and I am reading out in the sun.
