You may have heard about the terrible bombing here on this absolutely wonderful island. Palma Nova is not far from Palma and is a major tourist area with a lovely beach where we went swimming yesterday. The police have been searching cars for the last few days so we thought it was because the king is here and his yacht races are due to start tomorrow. They seemed to know something was going to happen, especially because we heard there were loads of police at the airport today. We are all safe but feeling very sad about something so horrible happening in such a peaceful place where the local people are so gentle and happy.
